Accounts Payable Clerk

The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company.

Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:

· Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.

· Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.

· Freight match of invoices in BTX Accounting system and audit of EDI invoices.

· Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.

· Records entries, verifies documentation, and distributes petty cash.

· Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices.

· Other related duties as assigned.

Summary of Experience and Education:

· High School diploma and 2-4 years related experience.

· Business or Accounting degree or related certifications preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.

· Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.

Additional Information:

BTX Global Logistics is a global transportation and logistics organization with over 30 regional branches in the U.S. and Canada. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be expected to aid in the transformational change expected of this organization due to its continual and rapid growth. This is an in-person position. There is no ability for remote or hybrid work.
